Welcome to my Website

This is my little corner of the interweb where you can inspect my passion, leave comments or just chill. I have always loved photography, it's such a release from the crap of the world; to fully understand that statement you need to read my blog. Fellow togs will understand this: You will have got up early, well before dawn, (The sun not the women), carried a heavy amount of camera equipment over rain sodden ground, been chased by mad eyed cows who want their milk back. Stepped in a huge cowpat, sat on a hard outcrop for hours and at the appointed hour you get your shot. Full of elation, off you trog home to show your image with puffed out pride and the comment is "Oh that's nice" who would be a photographer lol.

If you do have comments to make, by all means make them, even if your wrong. If you are reading this, not sure if anyone will, you will have an interest in photography. This medium, like most in the genre is subjective. If a bunch of "Old farts" don't think your work fits in with the stereotypical boundries of contempory society; bollocks to them. If you like your work, that's all that matters. Then again I would'nt join any club that has me as a member.

Dear reader you maybe asking yourselves "What is he rambling on about" let me enlighten you. As a professional photographer, (One who get paid for craft or skill), I get paid to produce images of, well ....... anything really but to become recognised you need to join certain organisations, why? Jus believe in you, believe in what it is you do but most of all, if you think its good, believe me it's good.

That's enough of my personal crusade against the elitists, lets talk about producing images. Images that can change the world, I don't mean like the image of the Afghan Girl with the piercing blue eyes but images "YOU" have produced. A simple click of a button, putting the white balance to tungsten on a bright day gives you a yellow tinge that the planet can not reproduce, you have changed the world. To change the world with photography is awsome, although my Mentor of many years,  Simon Collett will tell you digital is easy, "Mess up, just retake the shot" but with 35mm or as I joke with him "The dark art" due to his love of the Darkroom. You have to get it right first time, everytime. I will stick with my beloved Canon 5D MkII put my baby on manual and control the world.
